Carl Russell Bing Jr., 63, of Green Township, passed away peacefully at his home at 6:14 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, with his wife by his side. Carl had courageously battled mesothelioma for the past two years.

Born May 20, 1963, in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl Russell Bing Sr. and Alice Sara Ann Cox Bing.

Before becoming ill in 2024, Carl had worked in asbestos abatement since 1992. He was a member of Regional Local No. 207 of the Asbestos Abatement Workers.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Sue Johnson Bing; his daughter, Regina Renea Bing of Rio Grande; his son, Carl Branden (Meggan) Bing of Gallipolis; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Bing Burris of Gallipolis; sister-in-law, Barbara Arthur of Gallipolis; brother-in-law, John Johnson of Gallipolis; and nieces and nephews, Austin Burris, Shelby Long, Sean Long, Jessi Wyncuff, Brittany Riddle, and Joe Gallo. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Carl was especially proud to have raised Jayden Johnson in his home.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and John Johnson; sister-in-law, Darlene Johnson Long; and nephew, Cody Johnson.

Private family funeral services will be conducted at the family's convenience at Cremeens-King Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Centenary Cemetery in Green Township. There will be no calling hours.

Casket bearers will be Wendell Sperry, Howard Sperry, William Fraley, Brendan Pompender, Scott Miller, and Darren Spreacker.
