Prescription coverage

To make sure you receive the appropriate medications, HAP has a list of covered drugs, also called a formulary. These drugs are covered at different copay levels called tiers.

Health Insurance

 Initial Eligibility: 450 hours in any consecutive four-month period, or 675 hours in any 12 consecutive-month periods. Coverage begins on the 1st day of the 2nd month following the month satisfying the initial eligibility.

 Ongoing Eligibility: 150 hours per month are needed to maintain coverage. Hours worked in excess of 150 are banked for future shortages that may occur. The maximum allowable bank is 600 hours.

 Coverages: Provides hospital, medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits. Short-term disability and life insurance coverage are also included. Preferred Provider Groups can be utilized for further savings. Non-utilization of a PPO member may require various deductible limits must be met.

Pension
Regional Local 207 also provides for the membership a Defined Contribution Pension Plan. With this style of Pension Plan, our employers have no unfunded liability. The plan provides an accounting of each individual member's monthly contribution. All monies are invested together to maximize earnings as well as protecting the overall integrity of the Trust. Both Union and Employer Trustees monitor this Pension Trust. The plan currently allows for self-directed investments if the member chooses to do so.

Currently, each member has the right to request a transfer or cash payout of their pension amount after leaving covered employment and Trade for a period of 18 months.

Vacation Fund

Money is deducted from the net pay of Abatement workers in the employ of contributing employers on the contractural basis of the District Council you are working in. This money is saved for the members until time of disbursement.

The Plan has two annual distributions. For work hours March through August, you will receive a distribution of monies saved about the first week in November. For work hours September through February, you will receive a distribution of monies saved about the first week in May.

You may elect to receive up to two elective early distributions during the Plan Year. However, there is an administrative fee of $50 for an elective distribution. Please complete the Early Vacation Payout Form that can be printed off this website and returned to the Benefits Office. Checks are issued each Friday, unless it falls on a Holiday, then it will be issued the business day prior to the Holiday.

The Plan does have an option for Direct Deposit for the two annual distributions. Please complete the Direct Deposit Election Form that can be printed off this website. Direct Deposit is not an option for Early distributions.
